What is Clutter?
The dictionary defines clutter as ‘An untidy collection of things.’
I prefer to think of clutter as deferred decision making.
No-one sets out to have a home filled to the brim with belongings. It happens to us gradually, object by object, item by item.
Research from a 2009 study out of UCLA’s Center on Everyday Lives of Families (CELF) has shown that: The amount of stress women experience at home is directly proportional to the amount of stuff they and their family had accumulated.
It has also been shown that stress triggered by clutter may also trigger coping and avoidance strategies, like eating junk food, oversleeping or binge-watching Netflix.
WOW! Who wants that in their lives?
