Declutter your home: Create a Sanctuary

Declutter your home: Create a Sanctuary 1

This post forms part of my 101 Decluttering Series.

When you are at the beginning of the journey to declutter your home, it can seem like a huge mountain to climb. You look around your home and see all of the clutter on the counter tops, the piles on the floor and the junk falling out of the cupboards. It can seem overwhelming and you wonder how you will ever tackle it.

The best place to begin is to identify a room in your home which will be your sanctuary: A spot where you can go to recharge and escape the worries of life for a short time. This might be your bedroom, a spare room or even the family/games area.

It is important to think carefully about which room you will choose because this is where you will focus 100% of your Decluttering energy. The goal will be to have this room decluttered, neat and tidy and a place you will want to go at the end of a busy day.
