I believe that sometimes we make things more complicated than they need to be. Yes, there are times when it’s necessary to have a process for cleaning, decluttering, tidying and organising but if we are being really honest with ourselves, we will realise that a few simple actions would allow us to avoid a large chunk of the problem altogether.
Rule #1- If you open it, close it.
Rule #2- If you empty it, refill it.
Rule #3- If you take it out, put it back.
Rule #4- If you drop it, pick it up.
Religiously following these 4 simple time saving rules will dramatically reduce the amount of cleaning up, putting away and general tidying required. Do it yourself, set an example for others to follow and quickly see the difference.
Do you have any timesaving rules in your house which help you keep on top of your workload?
